Playing a gig in Central New York is like coming home for me. The fans showed up even though it was cold and raining. But I would trade palm trees and beach for bad weather if it means more time in CNY.

Pfohl's was rocking into the night. I got to visit with old friends and the greatest fans in the world.  As always, the Hurricanes and I left everything we had on the stage both nights.

Hey there Benny, I wish you would take a trip down south to virginia. Theres a little place in Winchester, Va. called Sweet Carolines, they host shows with names such as, little feat, foghat, Souled Out, and many others. Sure would be great to see you down this way as its hard to get up north. Anyway, I still love listening to your great voice. Its still as smooth as years ago...until next time...

I've never even come close to being a star chaser, and I've never tried to contact anyone. Anyways, jst wanted to let you know I'm from upstate New york, currently in Virginia beach, been a Benny fan since I was a teenager and I have to let you know, honestly, I love your music. Back when I was a teen I used to listen to your music every day until I drove my brother insane. He begged me to stop. Even though he loves you too. He just couldn't stand the repetition, day i and day out. Anyway, over the years I lost my music and would occasionally hear Into the night on the radio, but I always missed your music. My brother came to visit a couple of years ago and gave me two of your CD's. Now my husband begs me to stop playing Benny. I saw you last year in Syracuse, my brother, by the way, comes to see you every year at Turning Stone and has seen you many years before then. I also have another brother who lives in NC who comes to see you every year. I had a ticket for last week but I was unable to make it. Big disappointment. Many family members brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews, love your music and came to see you. Just wanted to let you know. I still listen every day in my car and I still think you are awesome. God only knows why you didn't make the big time. Just know that you made the big time for many people. Even though I have never met you I'm so proud of you and how great you have done despite the many obstacles that obviously have been in your way. I really am not good at what I try to say. Hope you take that the right way! I, for one, have never written anyone I don't know, but I admire you enough to want you to know. Your talent is incredible, your voice is the very best I've ever heard. Just want to tell you how many people really think you're great!

Hey, Benny.

My wife and I were just sitting around on a lazy Saturday here in Texas, listening to her MusicMatch playlist and out comes 'Into The Night'. I have to tell you, after having kept this thought to myself for a long time, that it is the most powerful, evocative and well-produced song to ever hit the airwaves.

I remember being awestruck as a Florida teen when it was first released and it amazes me how much of an effect it has on me when I hear it even now.

Part of my appreciation for it is that it takes me back to those days more vividly than any other song from that time. But it's really the sheer perfection of all the elements- your gritty, wrenching vocals against the very slick production and arrangement that combine to make it one of the best songs of all time.

So, congratulations on creating a masterpiece! I have no doubt it will always be played somewhere, and most certainly in our home!

Saw you last night at Moniraes in Pennelville, N.Y,WAS AWESOME, but extremely hot. I follow you around when your in N.Y, NOTHING GETS IN MY WAY. Hi Benny,

I caught your show in August 2008 at Fireworks Over CNY at the Herkimer County Fairgrounds. As a matter of fact, my band Yesterday's Child, played there that day before you. I live in Rome, NY right across the street from one of your CNY's biggest fan, Debbie McCallough(sp?) You and the Hurricanes did an awesome job! If you remember, it was very hot that day. Thanks for all the great music and remembering Rome, NY, home of Coleman's back in the 70's and 80's. Just so you know, Yesterday's Child is made up of all of us in our 50's, yet we felt like little kids just playing the same day and on the same stage as you! Keep up the good work. Probably see you at the Turning Stone next month.
